I’m happy to report that since I began blogging about perimenopause and menopause issues, women now have more options than ever to treat and manage symptoms. Back in the day….my day to be exact, in the late 1990s, believe it or not, the options for treating perimenopause symptoms were basically birth control pills (not gonna happen), synthetic hormones (no thanks), anti-depressants (okay, I tried these), and the not-so-subtle-suggestion that maybe a therapy session might be in order (probably should have, but didn’t).
Thankfully, all of that has changed and the medical community and companies are beginning to step up and offer women alternatives and better choices to treat the myriad of symptoms that perimenopause can bring, such as loss of libido, vaginal dryness, and vaginal atrophy. NeuEve happens to be one of those companies, and if you’re suffering with a loss of libido due to painful intercourse, vaginal dryness, or even vaginal atrophy in perimenopause, then listen up! NeuEve Natural Suppositories might just be what the doctor ordered!
NeuEve Suppositories: Non-Hormonal, Organic, & Natural
Here’s what I love about many of the options that women have these days – and NeuEve is stepping up to offer it too – it is now possible to treat the symptoms of perimenopause without filling our bodies with chemicals, drugs, or synthetic monsters cranked out by pharmaceutical companies.
NeuEve Suppositories gives women the option to treat vaginal dryness, atrophy, and ergo, painful sex, with an all natural product which is hormone free, food-grade, organic, and even green.
NeuEve does not contain any boric acid, petrochemicals and parabens, has never been tested on animals and does not contain any animal products.
In fact, NeuEve suppositories are tested on those who actually develop the product. Now that’s putting your money where your mouth is, am I right???
And…… it was developed by a gynecologist, Dr. Renjie Chang, M.D.
NeuEve’s Goal is to Make a Positive Impact on the World by Helping Women and Saving Marriages
Dr. Renjie invented the all-natural NeuEve suppository and in the process, made a conceptual breakthrough in women’s personal care: reversing vaginal atrophy without using hormones.
And because this product is a cosmetic for personal care, not a drug, it can be marketed to benefit consumers much sooner. And I’m all about getting around big bureaucracy and getting straight to the consumer. Aren’t you?
What I especially like about NeuEve is that it was developed by a physician who has worked both as an OB-GYN (so she knows women’s bodies), and in the pharmaceutical industry as a drug developer for Abbott Laboratories in Chicago – now stay with me.
In developing NeuEve, Dr. Renjie was able to apply the knowledge and skills she had learned from her long career in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology and in the pharmaceutical industry. So, when Dr. Renjie says NeuEve is not a drug, she knows what she’s talking about. And the fact that those who actually developed the product also tested it on themselves, well, that just speaks volumes to me.
NeuEve Can Also be Used to Treat BV (Bacterial Vaginosis)
Unfortunately most women have dealt with bacterial vaginosis at least once in their lifetime, and are fully acquainted with how horribly uncomfortable and miserable it is, with the vaginal discharge, odor, burning and itching. Though it’s not actually a full blown infection, it is a serious condition that shouldn’t be ignored.
NeuEve also has a BV Clear Starter Kit that can be used to clear the symptoms of BV and enable you to use the other suppositories with comfort. Depending on your age and where you are on the spectrum of perimenopause and menopause, will determine which Clear Starter Kit would be the best choice. I won’t go into all of that in this post, but you can read more here on NeuEve’s site for additional information.
Which Formula is Right for Me?
Choosing the formula of NeuEve depends on your age. Again, you can go straight to NeuEve’s site here and make that determination. But, for your reference, NeuEve Silk is milder than NeuEve Silver, and is designed for women with severe dryness and atrophy. However, for women with advanced vaginal dryness, using cream daily plus the Silk formula twice/week works well.
NeuEve also has this cool flowchart on their site which can be of help when determining which formula might be right for you as well.
If You’re Not Ready to Give Up Your Sexlife then Consider NeuEve!
I’ve mentioned in the past that I’m a 60 year old post-menopausal woman who is divorced and not interested in dating or relationships. Which works well for me because while I haven’t completely lost my libido in my aging years, it has waned considerably. Which is okay with me. But it might not be okay with you.
Just because we are aging doesn’t mean we have to give up the intimacy and joys of a healthy sexual relationship. In fact, there is a mountain of research out there which shows how beneficial sex is for our health and well-being well into our sunset years.
However, it can be difficult, not to mention downright painful if you are dealing with vaginal dryness or vaginal atrophy. NeuEve Suppositories is a natural and effective way to manage and treat both. And it’s not like other products that you just use as needed in the moment! NeuEve recommends that you use the suppositories ideally 1 – 2 days before intimacy, though you can certainly use them in as little time as 30 minutes prior.
I actually love the fact that you use them days before intimacy. Because that tells me it’s a product that is not just for a short-term fix, but is a long term solution to a very serious issue for many women in perimenopause and menopause.
And again, as I’ve said a gazillion times here at The Perimenopause Blog, I understand that estrogen is not an option for everyone. So, if you’re looking for a non-hormonal quality product to treat vaginal dryness and vaginal atrophy, and which also won’t break the bank….then check out NeuEve Suppositories.
I’m so impressed with what they’ve done and would have no qualms about recommending NeuEve to any of my readers!
