Perimenopause Giveaway – InnerIntimates

by Magnolia on February 20, 2012

Congratulations to the two winners of this month’s giveaway!  Readers Laura Reilly and Dana Britt will both receive a complimentary gift package from Inner Intimates!  As always, thanks to everyone who participated.

If you suffer with vaginal dryness in perimenopause, then this is a giveaway you don’t want to miss!

I recently had the privilege of speaking with Olga Cohen, CEO and developer of InnerIntimates™, a hormone free product she developed to treat vaginal dryness in perimenopause.

Olga is a girl’s girl who is passionate about helping women.  As is often the case, necessity is the mother of invention.  For Olga, it was her own suffering with painful vaginal dryness that drove her to develop a product that is gentle, hormone free, and restores the elasticity of vaginal walls.

InnerIntimates™ not just a simple vaginal lubricant.  It is a product that actually enhances genital health.  It is absorbed by the body, preventing and reversing vaginal dryness.

Read about Olga’s story and how she came to develop InnerIntimates™:

I went into full fledge menopause at the age of 43, complete with unpleasant mood swings and extreme hot flashes. I tried hormone replacement for ten years, but stopped after the bad press about the health complications associated with hormone replacement. I could not believe how, almost immediately, so many symptoms returned. Worse, I had a terrible new symptom: painful vaginal dryness.

I started researching solutions for the problem, and I could not find anything in the market that offered long term results. Luckily, after decades in the cosmetics industry as the owner of a manufacturing company, I had knowledge and access to many natural ingredients.  After having a conversation with Dr. Leo

Galland, an intergraded medical doctor, I tried using GLA several times a week — squeezing the oil directly into the vagina. It took about a month and then I started noticing a difference. The results were dramatic: a complete end to the dryness. When I visited my gynecologist, she could not believe it. She could actually see the difference.

I knew that if I were having these problems, then there must be other women experiencing the same symptoms.  And my gynecologist confirmed that acute dryness was one of the most common complaints she heard in her practice. We agreed it was vital to bring this treatment to other women.

Since then, I have come to realize that painful vaginal dryness is not just caused by menopause, but can be the result of a wide variety of physical conditions. Dryness is also experienced by women who have just given birth, who have had a hysterectomy, or who are suffering from cancer or autoimmune disease.

WITH THE HELP OF DR. MIRIAM GREENE AND DR. LEO GALLAND, Grohen Technologies has developed InnerIntimates™ Vaginal Renewal Complex. Vaginal Renewal Complex offers a safe and easy solution for vaginal dryness    It’s my little secret that is helping countless women look, feel, and live better.

I have two generous samples of Olga’s products to giveaway.  Like I said, ladies, you don’t want to miss this one.  The products are a $150 dollar value and are of very high quality.  The details of the giveaway are the same.  If you’ve participated before you know the routine.  If not jump in right away and join us.  I will announce the two winners on Thursday, February 23rd.  In the meantime, if you would like to check out Olga’s website you can find it right here.

I hope to have some relief at the ready before some of these symptoms come. Night sweats, insomnia and a “questionable” attitude are my companions so far.

Finding this blog has been a lifesaver. At 47 years old and 18 months post-hysterectomy, I’ve had three episodes in the past six months when crying spells, hyperventilating, and a feeling of worthlessness were so overwhelming that I couldn’t function. Each lasting about two days, I vowed after last week to learn as much as possible about this condition so I’m prepared the next time. When I told my male OB-GYN after the first incident, he said he “didn’t know why” it occurred. My female endocrinologist, however, sent me a prescription for lab work today and gave me her first appointment on Monday morning.

What finding this blog has done for me is VALIDATE my feelings and reassured me that I’m not crazy, there’s a physiological basis for my temporary state of frenzy, and there are supportive suggestions for my poor boyfriend who wants to help but doesn’t know how.

There are too many commonalities between my life experiences and yours to mention in a short post, but I found your report of an increase in divorce during the peri-menopause period particularly enlightening. Two-and-a-half years ago, I filed for divorce after a twenty-year marriage when I determined that, after raising three kids, it really was “my time” and my husband had no interest in recapturing what brought us together in the first place; he chose to pursue his life independently and I was expected to accept that as I always had. This, of course, wasn’t possible, as I’m certainly not the woman I was decades ago. And I’ve never been happier since I made that decision.

I appreciate your sharing of so many personal stories: both triumphs and challenges. I’m looking forward to remaining abreast of all that women in similar circumstances do to remain devoted to themselves first, so that they can maintain authentic and honest relationships with others.

Please enter me in the giveaway, and please accept the gratitude of a hormonally-challenged school teacher who still has a lot to learn about herself and what I can share with those who look forward to supporting me through this vulnerable period of change.
